4 sessions, over 4 months... 8 inspiring speakers

ESSENTIALS for women is aimed at empowering women in various circumstances and life stages aspiring to make changes in their own lives.

It is an empowering event series celebrating the role women play in shaping our communities and our lives. Hosted by the Perth Integrated Events team, the 4-session forum brought together inspirational speakers that shared practical skills and tools for other women to succeed and thrive. "Essentials for Women" proudly supported The Ladybird Foundation in its efforts to raise funds for breast and gynecologic cancer research in WA.
In an era of social progress and striving for equality, it is essential that we equip women in our community with the necessary skills and techniques to succeed. Without such empowerment, the persistent disparity and imbalance will continue to affect even those within the same gender.

The four sessions were held on August 24 : September 21 : October 19 : November 16 2023 at the Mandoon Helena Building, Heathcote, Applecross.

Each series event was aimed at highlighting the following topics:
  • Addressing the 'within' gender imbalance
  • Providing real solutions to women in the community
  • Techniques and practical skills to make a difference
  • Inspiration from other women who have made a difference

The Ladybird Foundation was delighted to be the beneficiary charity of the excellent Essentials - for Women symposium initiative presented by the Perth Integrated Events Team. We give thanks for the opportunity to share with the audience how funds raised from the event will be used to make a real difference to breast & gynaecologic cancer research taking place here in WA.
